Poul-Erik Transo, a native of Bornholm, Denmark, came to America in 1974 and became a licensed nurse. It was because of his background in 7 languages and having a hearing impaired father that prompted his interest in audiology and communication. Poul-Erik went on to receive his MS degree in Audiology from the University of WI, Madison in 1992 and later recieved additional training in the field of vestibuology from Southern Ill. School of Medicine. Poul-Erik opened the Associated Balance and Hearing clinic in Boscobel, WI in 1993. The Clinic has since expanded to four communities and has become a research site for balance and hearing studies making it one of the largest privately owned balance and hearing clinics in the tri-state area. Poul-Erik has been a guest specialist on several radio staions including WRCO and Wisconsin Public Radio with Larry Meiller.
